On 1st December 2020 ISSAI team presented their projects to Mr. Karim Massimov as part of the NU research exhibition in the framework of the First President’s Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
ISSAI director Professor Atakan Varol presented AI for healthcare: Chest Xray Disease Classification System project; Dr. Yerbolat Khassanov presented the Voice-based AI technologies: Kazakh Speech Corpus + Automated Speech Recognitionproject; and data scientist Askat Kuzdeuov presented the Smart Cities: COVID-19 stochastic epidemic simulator project.
During the presentations ISSAI researchers also demonstrated short demos for each project in order to show the way the technology works in real life. For the AI for healthcare project doctor Tursynhanov, from the state hospital in Nur-Sultan city, showed the live demo via video-conference of how he uses our Xray diagnosis tool.
For the Voice-based AI technologies project, Dr. Khassanov demonstrated in live format how our model recognizes Kazakh speech and transcribes it to text on screen.
For the Covid-19 simulator project Askat Kuzdeuov showed results of the simulations made for Nur-Sultan city and explained how the simulator works.
