On 16th and 17th of October 2023 NU held Research Days 2023. This event is an open house for NU research that brings together the brightest minds and fosters meaningful connections among researchers across our university. Anyone at NU could join for two days of discovery, innovation, and collaboration and to see the achievements of our talented researchers.
ISSAI presented 2 posters about our general activities and AI computing resources and number of posters about recent research projects like ExoMem: Human Memory Enhancement Using AI and Augmented Reality, Augmented Reality and AI for Industrial Safety, Image Captioning for the Visually Impaired and Blind, Kazakh Food Dataset For Dietary Interventions, etc.
Moreover, on the first day several distinguished experts Prof. John Rogers (Northwestern University, USA), Prof. Dinah Birch (University of Liverpool, UK), Prof. Charles Zukoski (University of Southern California, USA) and Prof. Joep Konings (Nazarbayev University) delivered talks and inspired attendees with cutting-edge research insights.
NU Research Days provides networking opportunities which foster connections between students and faculty and highlights NU’s commitment to advancing knowledge and understanding. Next year NU is plannig to hold large-scale Research Days for external community.
