Four ISSAI Papers were presented at IECON 2024 in Chicago

The ISSAI team, consisting of Director Dr. Atakan Varol, Lead Data Scientist Askat Kuzdeuov, Data Scientist Rakhat Meiramov, and Researcher Daniil Filimonov, participated in the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society’s 50th Annual Conference (IECON 2024), held from November 3-6 at Chicago’s Sheraton Grand. This flagship event brought together leading experts to discuss advancements across a spectrum of topics including electronics, robotics, cloud computing, and computational intelligence.

ISSAI’s contributions to the conference included four research works, each receiving considerable interest from the scientific community. On November 3, ISSAI researchers Muslim Alaran, Zarema Balgabekova, and Dr. Varol’s work entitled “Field of View Invariant Object Recognition Using Non-Linear Transformation Augmentation” was presented. On November 5, two additional projects were presented: “A Tensegrity Hybrid Mobile Robot with Mechanical Impact Resistance” by Daniil Filimonov et al., and “Enhancing Human Pose Estimation Accuracy Using Synthetic Data” by Rakhat Meiramov et al. Closing out ISSAI’s contributions, Askat Kuzdeuov presented his collaborative work with Rinat Gilmullin, Bulat Khamitov from the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, and Dr. Varol, titled “An Open-Source Tatar Speech Commands Dataset for IoT and Robotics Applications.”

Beyond their own presentations, the ISSAI team engaged with innovative discussions on industrial AI and attended keynote sessions from esteemed representatives of NASA, Intel, Tesla, and several national laboratories and universities.
