On 13th of April ISSAI, in collaboration with the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, hosted a webinar “Science of Digital Transformation”. Speaker of the webinar was Professor R. Srikant, Fredric G. and Elizabeth H. Nearing Endowed Professor of ECE and the Coordinated Science Lab at UIUC; one of two Co-Directors of the C3.ai DigitalTransformation Institute.
In the webinar Prof. Srikant presented a summary of the activities of a one-
year old institute called the C3.ai Digital Transformation Institute, and its
role in promoting the digital transformation of society through the use of
Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Cloud Computing.
Examples of research activities promoted by the institute include the use of AI, ML and Cloud Computing in combating epidemics such as COVID-19 and in promoting energy and climate security. Professor also talked about the other examples of the use of AI and ML in promoting digital transformation such as autonomous driving and the use of Virtual Reality for remote education.
Webinar had more that 250 registered participants. In the end participants had a Q&A session with the Professor.
