ISSAI and CITIX held two meetings in April to explore the potential for collaboration between the academic and industrial sectors. CITIX is a pioneering company based in Kazakhstan that specializes in creating innovative solutions to enhance the urban living experience. Their approach involves leveraging information and communication technologies to provide individuals with pertinent information at the appropriate time and location.
One of CITIX’s current projects involves developing voice boards that can be installed throughout the city to provide spoken information to its residents. During the meetings, the parties discussed the implementation of the Kazakh language into the voice boards. ISSAI’s Kazakh text-to-speech and Kazakh Speech Corpus technologies, as well as the Turkish Speech Corpus, were considered. The parties agreed that CITIX would provide additional technical information to enable ISSAI to analyze how to implement the Kazakh and Turkish Speech models.
