200th video on our YouTube channel

Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence, a leading research AI Institute in Kazakhstan, is proud to announce a significant milestone in its digital journey. ISSAI has officially uploaded its 200th video on our YouTube channel, solidifying its commitment to engaging and connecting with its audience through the power of video content.

Over the years, ISSAI has consistently expanded its online presence, recognizing the importance of leveraging multimedia platforms to disseminate valuable information, share insights, research progress and foster a sense of community among its supporters.

The 200th video, titled “Image Captioning for the Visually Impaired and Blind: A Recipe for Low-Resource Languages” is a research project which was highly accepted on EMBC2023 conference in Sydney this summer. Advances in machine learning pave new venues to implement assistive devices for the visually impaired and blind, and we combined image captioning and text-to-speech technologies to create an assistive device for the visually impaired and blind. Our system can provide the user with descriptive auditory feedback in the Kazakh language on a scene acquired in real-time by a head-mounted camera.

It not only marks a numerical achievement but also signifies our dedication to delivering high-quality, informative, and engaging content to our ever-growing YouTube subscriber base.

Our YouTube channel has become a hub for ISSAI to connect with its supporters, share its expertise, and highlight its accomplishments in Kazakh and English languages. It has also allowed us to stay connected with our audience, especially during challenging times when physical gatherings were limited.

Viewers can explore the entire collection of videos, spanning a wide array of topics via this link.
