Mr. Akhmetov Yeradil, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Accounts of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Baqyt Shotkin, Chief Researcher of the Academy of Law enforcement under General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Mrs. Kolossova Nadezhda from the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan (GPO) recently visited the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University.
The visit aimed to examine how artificial intelligence technologies could be used across various facets of the criminal justice system, including legal issues, digital surveillance, etc.
Our Data Scientist, Madina Abdrakhmanova, presented ISSAI’s current research initiatives during the visit. The representatives from GPO highly appreciated ISSAI’s research activities and projects and intend to incorporate some of them into a monograph they are working on, which discusses the integration of ISSAI’s research into diverse industrial and commercial sectors.
