On July 11, 2024, representatives and school students from the Presidential School and Knowledge Academy of Bukhara, the Presidential School in Samarkand, as well as Bukhara High school № 39 and Asia International University, visited ISSAI laboratories. Research assistant Aisulu Tileukulova and senior data scientist Zhanat Makhataeva presented the Institute’s recent projects and developments. Aisulu’s presentation highlighted tensegrity robots and their application in industry and manufacturing, while Dr. Zhanat explained the avatar creation process using artificial intelligence and augmented reality. She also demonstrated to the guests the “Umay” human digital prototype developed at ISSAI and other meta avatars created by school students during the Summer Research Program at ISSAI.
At the end of the visit, ISSAI members and the guests discussed how avatars can be integrated into daily life and their benefits in the educational process. Guests from Uzbekistan were highly impressed by the level of scientific research conducted at ISSAI and expressed their gratitude for the hospitality and interesting presentation.
