On April 21, 2026, at the AGIBOT Partner Conference 2026 in Shanghai, Kazakhstan-based QAZBOT Technologies was named the exclusive strategic partner of AGIBOT for Central Asia, Armenia, and Georgia, securing regional intellectual property rights. The agreement marks a significant step toward localizing AGIBOT’s full robotics ecosystem, including the LinkCraft motion platform, operating systems, and development tools, through a Kazakhstan-based operator.
Within this initiative, the ARMS Lab of the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University is positioned as a key scientific and system integration partner, contributing research depth and engineering expertise. The lab will focus on adapting AGIBOT’s AIMA platform to local industrial and environmental conditions, validating hardware systems such as manipulator kinematics and human–robot interaction safety, and supporting the development of engineering talent in robotics, adaptive control, and machine learning.
ARMS Lab under the leadership of Dr. Azamat Yeshmukhametov will contribute to the development of a sovereign data infrastructure hosted on local servers, including methodologies for data collection, annotation, and analysis to train AGIBOT models. This reflects a broader shift from viewing robots as standalone machines to treating them as continuous data sources for AI systems.
Through this collaboration, QAZBOT Technologies will drive infrastructure and market development, while ISSAI provides scientific expertise. The initiative aims to position Kazakhstan not only as a manufacturing base but as a regional center of excellence in humanoid robotics, building local competencies in both engineering and artificial intelligence. Also, under this framework ISSAI will be able to train experts and adapt local industry for full automation.
