On September 3, 2026, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University welcomed representatives of iFLYTEK, a leading Chinese artificial intelligence and information technology company specialising in speech and language technologies, artificial intelligence, and intelligent computing. The meeting focused on exploring potential areas of collaboration between the two organisations.
ISSAI was represented by Dr. Atakan Varol, General Director of ISSAI; Mamyrbek Parakhat, Data Scientist; and Ulzhan Alibek, External Affairs Manager.
The iFLYTEK delegation included Martin Ma, Regional General Manager for Central Asia; Musyret Aset, Business Manager for Kazakhstan; Bakyt Yernar, Pre-Sales Manager for Kazakhstan; and Yvan Su, Product Expert.
The meeting followed ISSAI’s Mamyrbek Parakhat’s participation in the iFLYTEK Open Platform Central Asia Launch Event, held on July 1-2, 2026, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, both organisations presented their work, research, technologies, and ongoing projects. The iFLYTEK representatives also shared an overview of the company’s activities and solutions in the Middle East and Central Asian countries, highlighting its experience in developing and implementing AI-powered technologies across the region.
The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange expertise and discuss current developments in artificial intelligence, particularly in the areas of multilingual technologies and AI applications relevant to Central Asia.
Following the presentations and discussion, the organisations identified several potential areas for further cooperation and expressed interest in continuing dialogue on joint research, technology development, and the implementation of AI solutions. The two sides agreed to explore opportunities for future joint projects and maintain further communication.
