Dr. Azamat Yeshmukhametov Presents Robotics Projects to NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang

On October 23, 2026, Dr. Azamat Yeshmukhametov, Head of the Advanced Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory (ARMS) at the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) and Assistant Professor at the Nazarbayev University School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence, presented the laboratory’s robotics projects to Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA, during his visit to Kazakhstan.

The presentation featured a robotic reception system and an inspection robot developed as part of the Physical AI initiative, which focuses on integrating artificial intelligence with robotic systems that operate in the physical world.

The projects demonstrate ISSAI’s work in advancing robotics and intelligent systems for real-world applications. Through its research, the ARMS Laboratory contributes to the development of technologies that combine AI, robotics, and mechatronics.

The presentation also highlighted the broader Physical AI initiative, which includes collaboration between ISSAI and QAZBOT to advance humanoid robotics and develop a local ecosystem for Physical AI. The initiative aims to strengthen Kazakhstan’s capabilities in robotics research and development, with plans to establish manufacturing capabilities for humanoid robots.

The demonstration to Jensen Huang provided an opportunity to showcase the robotics projects developed by the ISSAI team and highlight the Institute’s contribution to advancing artificial intelligence and robotics research in Kazakhstan.
