ISSAI Postdoctoral Scholar Yerbolat Khassanov presented two research papers at SPECOM 2021

ISSAI Postdoctoral Scholar Yerbolat Khassanov presented two research papers at 23rd International Conference on Speech and Computer (SPECOM 2021). The event was held on 27-30th September 2021 and was hosted by the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Moscow State Linguistic University.

Dr. Khassanov presented research papers at session 4 of the Conference “Speech Recognition and Understanding”. Dr. Khassanov presented papers on “A Study of Multilingual End-to-End Speech Recognition for Kazakh, Russian, and English” by Saida Mussakhojayeva, Yerbolat Khassanov and Huseyin Atakan Varol, and “USC: An Open-Source Uzbek Speech Corpus and Initial Speech Recognition Experiments” by Muhammadjon Musaev, Saida Mussakhojayeva, Ilyos Khujayorov, Yerbolat Khassanov, Mannon Ochilov and Huseyin Atakan Varol. The International Conference on Speech and Computer is an interdisciplinary scientific event with a long tradition, the first SPECOM was held in St. Petersburg in 1996. Every year SPECOM attracts researchers, linguists and engineers working in the areas of speech science, speech technology, natural language processing, human-computer interaction, and etc.

SPECOM is considered as one of the “Top Computer Science Conferences” according to Guide2Research.
