On August 25, 2026, Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University welcomed Daz Akbarov, Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), who joined us from Munich, Germany.
Daz delivered a workshop titled “Build Your First AI Agent with Strands SDK and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore,” bringing together ISSAI data scientists and research assistants.
During the workshop, participants explored the fundamentals of AI agent development and gained practical experience using Strands SDK and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to build AI agents. The hands-on format allowed ISSAI researchers to experiment with the tools and better understand how agentic AI systems can be developed and deployed in practice.
The workshop also provided an opportunity for ISSAI researchers to exchange ideas with an industry expert and explore the latest approaches to building AI-powered applications.
