On 16 and 17 September 2021, ISSAI team participated in the Virtual Symposium on Process Safety and Asset Integrity Management in the Digital Age. This Symposium was organized by TU Delft Safety & Security Institute and Department of Chemical Engineering, Tsinghua University.
The aim of this symposium is to bring together researchers and practitioners to share knowledge and to identify and establish new collaborative research opportunities relevant to process safety and asset integrity management in the digital age. Main goal is to focus on the opportunities and challenges in safety, security, and integrity management in the digital age.
ISSAI full-time employees and ISSAI student-researchers actively participated in various plenary sessions by asking interesting questions and provided opinions on moderators’ questions regarding big data, reinforcement learning, machine learning and artificial intelligence.Keynote speakers of this Symposium included Professor Faisal Khan (Professor and Head of Process Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland), Professor Genserik Reniers (Delft University of Technology, Safety and Security Science Group), Professor Valerio Cozzani (Professor and Head of Laboratory for Industrial Safety and Environmental Sustainability at University of Bologna)
