On July 11 Mr. Ludger Schuknecht, the Vice President and Corporate Secretary at the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) visited Nazarbayev University. During the visit, Mr. Ludger Schuknecht and his delegation were informed about the current projects of ISSAI in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. ISSAI Data Scientist Madina Abdrakhmanova presented the institute’s research work, which included information on AI technologies for the Kazakh language, computer vision projects, face detection projects, and augmented reality projects.
Postdoctoral scholar Azamat Yeshmukhametov also presented the tensegrity robots. The tensegrity robots are an emerging technology that combines the principles of tensegrity structures with robotics. They are highly adaptable and can be used for a range of applications, including exploration, inspection, and monitoring.
Mr. Ludger Schuknecht was very impressed with the visit to Nazarbayev University and ISSAI in particular. The guests noted the employees who do a great job and contribute to the development of the University.
