Two ISSAI papers were presented at the 3rd International Conference on Robotics, Automation, and AI (RAAI 2023) in Singapore

Researchers from the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence participated in the 3rd International Conference on Robotics, Automation, and AI (RAAI 2023) in Singapore. This event integrated the concepts and technologies of robotics, automation, and AI, serving as a large-scale platform for discussions, exchanging knowledge, innovative ideas, and experiences among prominent academics, industry professionals, and leaders of rapidly developing fields. The conference was organized by the Beijing Institute of Control Robotics and Intelligent Technology and the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society.

During RAAI 2023, ISSAI presented two papers: “Speech Command Recognition: Text-to-Speech and Speech Corpus Scraping Are All You Need” (A. Kuzdeuov, Sh. Nurgaliyev, D. Turmakhan, N. Layik, and H. A. Varol) and “Thermal Perception Using Augmented Reality for Industrial Safety” (T. Akhmetov, G. Morger, I. Tursynbek and H.A. Varol). ISSAI Senior Data Scientist Askat Kuzdeuov received the Best Presenter Award for his informative and dynamic presentation on speech common recognition.

Keynote speakers of the conference were Prof. Clément Gosselin discussing Human-Robot Haptic Interaction, Prof. Gang Feng on Robust Cooperative Output Regulation in Multi-Agent Systems, and Prof. Danwei Wang presented Robust Perception for Intelligent Systems, highlighting recent achievements with common sensors, such as LiDAR and cameras, as well as multi-modal sensing and perception for reliable and robust outdoor scenarios. The conference also featured different sessions, including analysis and path planning for mobile robots, modern electronic systems with control automation, AI-based intelligent algorithms and computing, and image analysis alongside computer vision.
