On April 11, 2025 the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) held an online meeting with representatives of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). ISSAI was represented by Executive Director Yerbol Absalyamov, IT Product Manager Amina Baikenova, Government Relations Manager Alaidar Amirseiit, and Senior External Affairs Manager Aigerim Sarsenova. Aigerim delivered an introductory presentation on ISSAI’s mission and key projects. The EEC delegation expressed strong interest and appreciation for ISSAI’s initiatives and the Institute’s growing contribution to the development of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan. During the meeting, participants discussed the current and prospective landscape of AI development, including infrastructure, regulation, application in industry, as well as ongoing challenges in the field. The EEC’s AI working group shared the difficulties they are encountering, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and expert support in overcoming these issues. As a result of the discussion, the EEC confirmed its intention to include ISSAI in the roadmap for AI development, recognizing it as a flagship institution in AI product development and a key contributor to the expert group.
