On May 23, 2025, the Republican strategic session “Artificial Intelligence in the Training of Specialists in Language and Archival Profiles” was held at the JSC “Ablai Khan Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages”.

The event was supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

On behalf of the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI), Executive Director Yerbol Absalyamov spoke as a speaker. The session was also attended by key representatives of government agencies and the academic community:

• Bakhtiyar Mukhametkaliyev – Head of the Department of Control and Documentation Support of the Executive Office of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

• Gulmira Kobenova – Chairperson of the Committee for Higher and Postgraduate Education, MHES RK;

• Assemgul Dyussekova – Deputy Chairperson of the Committee for Archives, Documentation and Book Affairs, MCI RK;

• Kulyash Seitova – Head of the National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

• Saule Kenzhebaeva – Head of the Project Management Center of the National Scientific and Practical Center “Til-Kazyna” named after Sh. Shayakhmetov.

And also over 100 participants from various universities and state bodies of the country.

The participants discussed the development of artificial intelligence in the archival and linguistic sphere:

• transformation of electronic archives into intelligent document analysis systems,

• large-scale implementation of AI applications in electronic document management,

• improving the quality of translation of regulatory and educational documents into Kazakh and English.

Yerbol Absalyamov presented the achievements and key initiatives of ISSAI, and also demonstrated in real time the functioning of the SoyleApp and Oylan models developed by ISSAI and which can be ideally used for linguistics and archive management purposes. The presentation aroused keen interest and received positive feedback and interest from the participants, who noted the high quality and practical significance of ISSAI solutions.

Also, after the main session, Yerbol participated as a speaker at the meeting of linguists from various universities, where he shared information and experience on the formation of ISSAI, the use of AI in linguistics, personnel training, and the use of various AI tools.

ISSAI expresses gratitude to the organizers of the event for the platform provided for dialogue and exchange of experience. The Institute is open to cooperation and is ready to provide comprehensive assistance in the promotion and application of artificial intelligence technologies in Kazakhstan.

Based on the results of the strategic session, a final analytical document will be prepared, which will reflect key decisions, priority areas and practical steps for the further development of AI in the humanitarian and archival spheres of the country.
