October 1, 2025 – The Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) was delighted to welcome a delegation from Meta Platforms Inc. for a follow-up visit focused on advancing collaboration in artificial intelligence.
The Meta team was represented by Sarim Aziz, Director of Public Policy; Senura Abeywardena, Head of Public Policy for Central Asia, Mongolia, Sri Lanka & Maldives; Aurora Li, Head of Government and Social Impact for Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Central Asia; and Yerassyl Kalikhan, Associate Regional Public Policy Manager for Central Asia & Mongolia.
From ISSAI, the meeting was attended by General Director Dr. Atakan Varol, Executive Director Yerbol Abslyamov, Government Relations Manager Alaidar Amirseiit, and Acting Deputy Director of Product and External Affairs Amina Baikenova.
The visit continued the dialogue initiated earlier this year, highlighting shared interests in AI research, innovation, and the development of strong partnerships between global technology leaders and Kazakhstan’s AI ecosystem.
