During the visit of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) representatives to Nazarbayev University, ISSAI data scientists participated in a guest lecture by Johannes Koch, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of HPE, titled “Digital Sovereignty and AI: Perspectives from Europe for Kazakhstan’s Consideration.” The delegation included Johannes Koch, Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Central and Eastern Europe, Turkey, and the CIS regions; Kaymak Gungor, Managing Director of the East South Cluster in Central Europe; Yernar Kulmukhanbetov, Commercial Director; and Dana Altybai, General Director of HPE for Central Asia and the Caucasus.
Before the lecture, ISSAI Executive Director Yerbol Absalyamov introduced the guests to ISSAI’s research and AI products during a high-profile meeting. The HPE representatives were impressed by ISSAI’s technological achievements and noted the potential of using ISSAI’s products—particularly its Kazakh language AI tools—for future integration.
