On 26 November, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) participated in Haileybury Astana’s Sixth Form Pathways Event, held in the school’s Sci Tech Hub. The event brought together Year 11 and Year 12 students and their families to explore academic, career, and personal development opportunities as they prepare for university and future professional paths.
ISSAI was represented by Executive Director Yerbol Absalyamov, Senior External Affairs Manager Aigerim Sarsenova, and Data Scientists Tomiris Rakhimzhanova and Anuar Aryngazin.
During the exhibition, ISSAI data scientists showcased the institute’s latest AI models and explained how these technologies are built and applied in real-world scenarios. They also engaged with students from a mentor’s perspective, sharing insights about ISSAI’s Summer Research Program, the experience of working on advanced AI projects, and the skills needed to pursue careers in data science and machine learning.
The event, designed to support Haileybury students in building strong academic and professional portfolios, highlighted three key dimensions of student growth: academic progress, career exploration, and personal development. ISSAI’s presence provided students with a firsthand look at cutting-edge AI research happening in Kazakhstan and the pathways available for young talent to participate.
By connecting directly with students, ISSAI continues its mission to inspire the next generation of researchers and to strengthen the pipeline of future AI talent in the country.
