ISSAI Welcomes Canadian EdTech Company iBlüm Learning

On October 1, 2026, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University welcomed Darrell Stewart, Director of Canadian edtech company iBlüm Learning, for a meeting focused on the role of artificial intelligence in education and the development of the edtech sector.

iBlüm Learning is a Canadian education technology company focused on developing AI-powered solutions to support personalized and data-driven learning. The company works at the intersection of education, learning science, and technology to develop tools that can help improve learning experiences and outcomes.

ISSAI was represented by Data Scientists Rakhat Meiramov and Arailym Raikhankyzy, as well as Dr. Ainur Zhaikhan, Postdoctoral Researcher and Ulzhan Alibek, External Affairs Manager. The meeting was also attended by Gulzhanat Gafu, Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Education at Nazarbayev University.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the growing role of AI technologies in education and their potential to transform teaching and learning. They also exchanged perspectives on the Canadian and Kazakhstani edtech markets, including current trends, opportunities, and challenges in the adoption of AI-powered educational solutions.

The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange expertise and perspectives on AI in education and explore potential areas for further dialogue and cooperation between the Canadian and Kazakhstani education technology communities.
