ISSAI Hosts Delegation from the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan to Explore Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence

The Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) welcomed a delegation from the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan for a working visit aimed at exploring opportunities for collaboration in artificial intelligence and digital transformation. The delegation was comprised of Olzhas Danabekov, Deputy Head of the Office of the Senate; Gulnaz Akhmetova, Head of the Information-Analytical Sector; Daulet Omarov, Head of the Organizational and Control Work Sector; and Kanat Kablanov, Chief Consultant of the HR and Information Security Department.

ISSAI was represented by General Director Dr. Atakan Varol, Acting Deputy Director of Product and External Affairs Amina Baikenova, Senior External Affairs Manager Aigerim Sarsenova, and Data Scientist Rakhat Meiramov. As part of the visit, Amina Baikenova delivered a presentation highlighting ISSAI’s latest AI developments and its growing suite of advanced language, vision, audio, and multimodal models, designed to support both national and sector-specific digital innovation.

The Senate representatives expressed strong interest in expanding cooperation with leading research institutions to advance Kazakhstan’s digitalization agenda. They emphasized the increasing importance of integrating artificial intelligence into institutional workflows, reflecting national priorities set out in recent government directives.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue discussions on concrete areas of collaboration. The Senate delegation recognized the value of ISSAI’s scientific and engineering capabilities, while ISSAI reaffirmed its readiness to support governmental bodies in adopting cutting-edge AI solutions. Both sides agreed that sustained cooperation between public institutions and the research community is vital for fostering innovation and strengthening Kazakhstan’s position in the global AI landscape.
