Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University hosted a delegation of national science and innovation leaders during an official visit focused on research development, commercialization, and collaboration opportunities.
The visiting delegation included Aliya Sembayeva, Deputy Chair of the Science Committee; Aigerim Assylbekova, Director of the Department of International Cooperation and Commercialization; Mukhammedali Zeilbek, Director of the Department of Research Projects and Programs; Madiyar Abilov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of QazInnovations; and Aigerim Nurlankyzy, Commercialization Coordinator.
During the visit, the ISSAI team presented the institute’s key research directions, flagship AI models, and applied solutions. The presentation was delivered by Alaidar Amirseiit, Government Relations Manager at ISSAI, who highlighted ISSAI’s role in advancing artificial intelligence research, supporting national priorities, and translating research into real-world applications.
The discussion focused on opportunities for scaling AI technologies, strengthening commercialization pathways, and enhancing collaboration between research institutions, government bodies, and innovation support organizations. The delegation showed strong interest in ISSAI’s research portfolio and its potential contribution to Kazakhstan’s science and innovation ecosystem.
The visit included lab tours, project demonstrations, and presentations on topics such as exoskeletons for rehabilitation, AI-powered education and wellness projects, Texer.AI, robotic tactile gloves, smart insoles, sustainable energy solutions, and pharmaceutical technologies from agricultural waste. Representatives from Nazarbayev University, ABC, GSE, SEDS, INETM, and other project teams also participated, providing a comprehensive view of Kazakhstan’s innovation ecosystem.
