On 27 February 2026, during their visit to Atyrau, Yerbol Absalyamov, Executive Director of ISSAI, and Aigerim Sarsenova, Senior External Affairs Manager at ISSAI, expanded the Institute’s regional outreach through meetings with students and local AI innovators.

As part of the visit, ISSAI representatives met with students at JOO High School, where they introduced the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI), presented its AI products, and shared detailed information about the Summer Research Program (SRP) for high school and university students. The students demonstrated strong interest in artificial intelligence and research opportunities, asking questions about the program structure, application requirements, mentorship opportunities, and potential research directions. The discussion reflected growing enthusiasm for AI-driven careers and innovation among young learners in the region.

The Center is led by Akmaral Abdigalieva, with Tolganai Myrzakeldi serving as Deputy Head.

During the visit, Yerbol Absalyamov participated in the AI Hub podcast hosted by Tolganai Myrzakeldi, where he spoke about ISSAI’s AI models, key research directions, and the Institute’s broader role in advancing sovereign AI technologies in Kazakhstan.
