On October 30, 2026, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University welcomed Tilektes Adambekov, Member of the National Qurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The meeting was attended by ISSAI General Director and Dean of the School of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (SCAI) Huseyin Atakan Varol, Executive Director Yerbol Absalyamov, Deputy Director of Product and External Affairs Amina Baikenova, and External Affairs Manager Ulzhan Alibek. SCAI was also represented by Dana Makhanova, Chief Administrative Officer, Professor and Vice Dean for Research and Innovation Durvudkhan Suragan, and Professor Matteo Rubagotti.
The participants discussed current challenges and future opportunities in digitalisation, artificial intelligence, and robotics, highlighting the role of scientific research and technological innovation in advancing these fields.
As part of the visit, Tilektes Adambekov toured ISSAI’s Autonomous Robotics and Mechatronics Systems (ARMS) Lab, where researchers and participants of the Fall Research Program presented their ongoing robotics research and development projects.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on the development of artificial intelligence and robotics in Kazakhstan and to showcase the research initiatives and technological solutions being developed at ISSAI and Nazarbayev University.
