ISSAI has successfully finalized a research contract with Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau University for an end-to-end AI solution for UAV-based crop monitoring

The Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) has finalized an agreement with Shokan Ualikhanov Kokshetau University to develop and deploy an end-to-end artificial intelligence solution for UAV-based remote monitoring and forecasting of feed value in grass mixtures used for fodder production.

ISSAI delivered both a custom AI model and a user-adapted web platform. The full stack has been installed on the university’s technical infrastructure, enabling Kokshetau University researchers to continue operational testing, analysis, and field application.

From the ISSAI side, the project was led by Executive Director Yerbol Absalyamov, with AI development and data science by Tomiris Rakhimzhanova, and the web platform and user interface by Abylaikhan Myrzakhanov; additional ISSAI team members supported data validation, and on-premise deployment. On the Ualikhanov University side, the collaboration was led by Dr. Marden Baidalin, Head of the Science and Commercialization Department.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in applying AI to agricultural innovation—demonstrating how research-grade models can be translated into practical tools that improve decision-making and operational efficiency in fodder production.

ISSAI is committed to supporting national initiatives that advance sustainable agriculture and scientific partnerships. We welcome collaborations with universities, public institutions, and industry to scale safe, ethical, and high-impact AI solutions across Kazakhstan’s real-economy sectors.
