Dana Aubakirova is a senior undergraduate student in mathematics with a focus on machine learning and statistics at Nazarbayev University. Previously, she worked on the project related to Domain Agnostic Face detection at ISSAI. During the summer 2021 she worked as a Research Trainee at Queen’s University Belfast, Northern Ireland on the project related to statistical analysis of categorical time-series data. Currently, she is a research assistant at ISSAI focusing on thermal face detection and facial landmark localization.
Her research interests include statistical machine learning, computer vision, deep learning, and human-robot interaction.
