On March 28, 2025, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University launched its own solution for data processing and artificial intelligence — the Mangitas 01 Inference Server. This innovative product is the culmination of extensive research and development in high-performance computing and is now poised to address complex challenges in AI service deployment in Kazakhstan.
ISSAI has developed generative AI models to serve the people of Kazakhstan, including Soyle, KazLLM, and Oylan. However, due to the absence of supercomputers in the country, these models remain out of reach for the general public. To address this challenge, ISSAI’s young researchers have taken action and created the Mangitas Inference Server using commercial-off-the-shelf components.
Mangitas 01 is designed to run our foundational speech model, Soyle as a local server. With an optimized software-hardware stack and a distilled version of Soyle, it delivers high-performance speech recognition, translation, and speech generation. Users can access its capabilities through a simple browser interface or API, supporting Kazakh, Russian, English, and Turkish.
If we secure the necessary resources to sustain our activities, our team will continue expanding the Mangitas Line, which will include the development of a server designed to run a distilled version of the Oylan language-vision model.
