On August 14–15, 2025, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University took part in the Republican August Conference “Bilim Keleshegi: Adal Azamat – Kásibi Maman” (“The Future of Education: Honest Citizen, Professional Specialist”) held in Astana.
On August 14, during the panel session “Education in the Era of Artificial Intelligence: Digital Solutions, Data Protection, and Digital Maturity”, Amina Baikenova, Acting Deputy Director for Product Development at ISSAI, delivered a presentation on “Digital Maturity of Educational Organizations: How to Measure and Develop It”. Her talk addressed key approaches to assessing digital readiness in education and strategies for advancing technological integration in schools.
On August 15, the ISSAI team participated in the “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Solutions in Education” section of the conference exhibition. The booth featured AI-powered tools developed at ISSAI to support the education sector. During the exhibition tour, the Minister of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Gani Beisembayev, visited the ISSAI booth and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Institute and the wider education community.
The conference, attended by about 1,500 participants — including educators, ministry representatives, and education experts — featured the participation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the Minister of Education, highlighting the pivotal role of education in shaping Kazakhstan’s future.
