During AI & Digital Bridge 2026, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Digital Development Center (DDC) of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.
DDC supports the National Bank’s digital transformation through the development of IT solutions, digital infrastructure, data processing, and other technology services.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Huseyin Atakan Varol, General Director of ISSAI, and Argyn Kentbekov, Chairman of the Management Board DDC.
The agreement follows a meeting between ISSAI and the National Bank in September, where the parties discussed potential cooperation in AI research, education, internships, and the practical application of AI technologies.
The MoU strengthens cooperation between academia and the financial sector, connecting ISSAI’s research expertise with practical needs in Kazakhstan’s financial and digital sectors.
