ISSAI Presented AI Technologies at NU Fest: Generation AI

On September 26, the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University took part in NU Fest: Generation AI, the University’s largest Open House Day to date, welcoming around 20,000 guests.

Held under the theme Generation AI, the festival gave prospective students and their parents an opportunity to explore NU’s academic programs, research, and student opportunities. As part of the event, ISSAI presented its research and technologies, giving visitors a chance to discover how artificial intelligence is being developed and applied in different areas.

The ISSAI exhibition featured a variety of interactive activities and demonstrations. Visitors could experience VR technologies, watch drones in flight and test them themselves, interact with an AI avatar, and explore the ISSAI Voice Studio. Robotics was also part of the exhibition, with guests able to see the robot in action and learn more about the technologies that enable intelligent machines to interact with their environment.

Throughout the day, the ISSAI team introduced visitors to the Institute’s projects and products, explaining how AI technologies are used in research and real-world applications. Guests had the opportunity to speak with ISSAI team members, ask questions, and learn more about the Institute’s work and the opportunities available to students interested in artificial intelligence.

The hands-on format allowed visitors to experience AI technologies beyond presentations and lectures. From virtual reality and drones to robotics, voice technologies, and AI-powered digital solutions, the exhibition showcased the range of research and innovation taking place at ISSAI.

Participation in NU Fest: Generation AI provided ISSAI with an opportunity to engage with prospective students and the wider NU community and to demonstrate how artificial intelligence is shaping new technologies, research, and future careers.
