On October 3, 2026, Dr. Ainur Zhaikhan, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI) at Nazarbayev University and Team Lead at the Qazaq International Science and Technology Association (QIST), participated as a speaker in the DeepTech workshop “From Science to Business” at AI & Digital Bridge 2026.
The workshop was led by Neil Marshall, Development Director at ChangeSchool (UK), and brought together participants to discuss pathways for translating scientific research into commercially viable technologies and businesses.
During the session, Dr. Zhaikhan introduced Science Bridge AI, a QIST platform designed to connect researchers, industry representatives, funders, and other stakeholders within the Deep Tech ecosystem. The platform aims to facilitate collaboration between science and industry and support the development of research-based projects beyond the laboratory.
The discussion focused on the transition of science-based projects from research and development to commercialization, scaling, and access to new markets. Participants explored the importance of building stronger connections between researchers, businesses, investors, and other stakeholders to accelerate the development and adoption of Deep Tech solutions.
Dr. Zhaikhan’s participation in the workshop highlights the growing role of AI and Deep Tech in connecting scientific research with practical applications and new opportunities for innovation.
