From 30th October to 5th November, IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society hosted the 43rd Annual International Conference virtually.
The theme of the conference was “Changing Global Health Care in the Twenty-First Century”. The Conference is the world’s largest international biomedical engineering conference..
ISSAI Data Scientist Aknur Karabay has presented two papers of the institute:
1. Input Agnostic Deep Learning for Alzheimer’s disease Classification Using Multimodal MRI Images.
2. COVID-19 Vaccination Strategies Considering Hesitancy Using Particle-Based Epidemic Simulator.
“The EMBC’21 conference was organized and handled at high quality level although the scope was large and everything was virtual. I really enjoyed introducing myself to different hot research topics in the biomedical science. I would like to thank ISSAI and our director Prof. Atakan Varol for supporting us and providing an opportunity to explore different disciplines” – says Aknur.
The conference covered diverse research topics such as biomedical engineering, healthcare technology, artificial intelligence for health, translational clinical research, and biomedical engineering education. In addition to the high-profile keynote speakers, the conference program featured numerous mini- symposia, workshops, special sessions, oral and poster sessions, sessions for students and young professionals, sessions for clinicians and entrepreneurs, and exhibits from vendors and universities.
