On September 25, 2024, a group of journalists and editors from major local media platforms visited the Advanced Robotics and Mechatronics Laboratory (ARMS) at the Institute of Smart Systems and Artificial Intelligence (ISSAI).
During the visit, ISSAI postdoctoral researcher and Head of ARMS Lab Dr. Azamat Yeshmukhametov presented his work on tensegrity robots, highlighting their key features, benefits, and potential applications in industry and manufacturing. Then, ISSAI Senior Data Scientist Dr. Zhanat Makhataeva provided an overview of the Institute’s projects and developments, including details of the ISSAI Kaz-LLM project. Dr. Makhataeva also showcased the “Umay” human digital prototype and explained how meta-avatars can be used in fields such as education, medicine, and entertainment.
The journalists and guests expressed significant interest in the ISSAI projects and thanked the team members for their presentations.
