On February 27, representatives of Khabar and Kazakhstan TV corporations visited ISSAI laboratories. The meeting was attended by director of the technical directorate of Khabar Agency Askar Alzhanov, deputy director Rustem Muksinov, head of the department of Khabar Agency Azat Turgunbekov, as well as technical director “Republican Television and Radio Corporation “Kazakhstan” JSC Shyngys Akimov, head of the technical support and control department Dmitry Kaminsky, financial director Radmir Rim, as well as 3D animator Alpamys Batkalov.
During this visit, the guests got acquainted with the scientific projects of the Institute of smart systems and artificial intelligence (ISSAI). ISSAI researchers presented tensegrity robots and demonstrated this technology. Postdoctoral researcher Zhanat Makhataeva presented her work on a project involving Augmented Reality (AR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), focusing on external object representation and the advancement of AR-assisted technology to aid people with memory impairments, such as Alzheimer’s disease.
Deputy Director of Operations Yerbol Absalyamov demonstrated the Institute’s research works, highlighting advancements in AI for the Kazakh language, computer vision, facial recognition, and AR developments.
After the presentation, a separate meeting was organized with Prof.Atakan Varol. Representatives of Khabar and Kazakhstan TV corporations expressed high interest in ISSAI’s projects, highlighting KazakhTTS2 and Umay, which can be useful to the tv production processes and become the main one for further cooperation.
