ISSAI Summer Research Program 2024 is an internship for students studying at Kazakhstani and foreign universities. The main goal of the program is the comprehensive dissemination of knowledge and practical skills in the field of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data algorithms. 

By participating in the program, students have the opportunity to work on real projects and cases under the mentorship of ISSAI data scientists. Below, you can find mandatory and preferable requirements for the Summer Research Program 2024.

Mandatory requirements:

– Math skills: linear algebra, probability, and statistics;

– Programming skills: Python;

– Machine learning skills: PyTorch/TensorFlow/Keras, Scikit-learn, Numpy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scipy;

– English language proficiency (minimum Upper-intermediate level).

Preferable minimum requirements:

– Fundamentals of ML and DL;

– Experience in data scraping and working with computer vision models, natural language processing, speech recognition, and reinforcement learning;

– Research experience.

 Dates and duration:

– The program starts in early June. Dates might vary slightly;

– Duration: 2 months;

– Scholarship in accordance with the level of education and skills within the limits established by the rules of NU.

After thorough consideration of all submissions, selected candidates will be invited to participate in an online interview. Only those who successfully pass the initial resume screening stage will proceed to the interview phase.
